Sta Kala Kathoumena sits on the cobbled lanes of Makariotissa, one of Veria's traditional neighbourhoods. The name is a Greek expression for something that happens "out of the blue", and that's how most evenings here begin: you drop by for a bite and end up staying late. Our kitchen is about honest, well-cooked Greek food and meze made for sharing: [grilled meats, home-style dishes, fresh salads], grilled octopus and much more, always in generous portions.
